Toolbars and the Status Bar
Main Toolbar
Click View > Main Toolbar to show or hide the Main Toolbar. A check mark appears next to the command when the Main Toolbar is visible.
Tools Toolbar
Click View > Tools Toolbar to show or hide the Tools Toolbar. A check mark appears next to the command when the Tools Toolbar is visible.
Status Bar
The Status Bar, which is a horizontal area at the bottom of the application, provides information about the current document you are editing.
Click View > Status Bar to show or hide the status bar. A check mark appears next to the command when the Status Bar is visible.
The Status Bar provides the following information:

| • | Position of the cursor [Line and Character]. |
| • | Unicode value of the character under the cursor. |
| • | Indication if the current document was modified [Modified]. |
| • | Typing mode [Insert/Overwrite]. |
| • | Encoding of the document. |
| • | How many Tabs or Spaces are used [N Tab/N Spaces]. |
| • | How newlines are saved [Macintosh (CR only)/Unix (LF only)/Windows(CR+LF)]. |
| • | Type of Document. |
| • | MIME of Document. |
XML Element Selector
Click
View > XML Element Selector to show or hide the
XML Element Selector. A check mark appears next to the command when the
