How to edit XML documents in Kazakh (Қазақша)

XMLBlueprint supports editing XML and XSLT in many different languages. Depending on your choice of language and the Windows version you're working on, you may have to install additional software and fonts.

To edit XML or XSLT in Kazakh you have to do the following:

  1. Enable support for Kazakh (Windows 98 and Windows ME only).
  2. Add a keyboard for Kazakh.
  3. Install one or more Kazakh fonts.

How to enable support for Kazakh in Windows 98 or Windows ME

To create XML documents in Kazakh in Windows 98 or Windows ME, you must enable multiple-language support:

  1. Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. On the Windows Setup tab, double-click Multilanguage Support, and then check Kazakh.

How to add a keyboard for Kazakh in Windows 98 or Windows ME

To add a keyboard for Kazakh in Windows 98 or Windows ME you have to do the following:

  1. Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Keyboard.
  2. On the Language tab, press the Add... button.
  3. In the Language list, select Kazakh, and then press the OK button.
  4. If you want to be able to switch keyboard layouts by using the Windows taskbar, make sure the Enable indicator on taskbar check box is selected.

To add a keyboard for Kazakh in Windows NT or Windows 2000 you have to do the following:

  1. Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Keyboard.

  3. In the Input Locale list, select Kazakh, and then press the OK button.

To add a keyboard for Kazakh in Windows Vista you have to do the following:

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Clock, Language, and Region, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.
  2. On the Keyboard and Languages tab, press the Change keyboards... button to open the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, and then press the Add... button.
  3. Open Kazakh and select the keyboard you want to use when you type Kazakh.

To add a keyboard for Kazakh in Windows 7 you have to do the following:

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel and double-click Change keyboards or other input methods.
  2. On the Keyboard and Languages tab, press the Change keyboards... button to open the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, and then press the Add... button.
  3. Open Kazakh and select the keyboard you want to use when you type Kazakh.
